       Any tips for finding the balance between making some special/expensive/rare piece of food last, so you can enjoy it for as long as possible, and not taking so long that it spoils?

       @kf not as much *how* to store it, but more making sure you aren't going to be so conservative with it that you haven't eaten all of it before it inevitably does spoil. :)
