Spambots - the gift that keeps on giving. They are getting increasingly abstract and I think that some spamserver is reaching sentience tbh - because I am getting increasingly tempted to click the linksThis is the entirety of the latest message:"Here is an grippingsacrifice recompense you. @ohyran I have an email alias reportspam@... which I use to forward all my Spam to my SpamCop reporting address.People should do this even if they don't use the SpamCop blocklists.I've been doing this for years now and my Spam levels have dropped to a couple per week.

@neildarlow hehe well this is due to an insecure set up on my homepage for a contact form. So every now and then someone slips through and tbh I kinda like it. I get one every three days and I enjoy them thoroughly

@asko @neildarlow I don't get spam either (antispam is fairly universal). Except from a form I set up on a webpage but badly which can't be blocked by spamblockers in the same way. Which is where these things come from.Granted I could set up a captcha or something - but that doesn't work either at about the same rate of failure. Since I get one every three days, I am fine with that.

@ohyran @neildarlow Actually, come to think of it, I was wrong. I do get spam, but because of how gmail automatically puts it in the trash, I don't really see it unless I go check out trash. Aye, web forms are the worst. That said, I show my email publicly on my website, and I don't think (could be wrong?) that I don't get spam through it. But again, how would I know right?

@asko @neildarlow Yeah I do the same - I don't get spam through to that (because again spamblockers are brilliant). This is one of those "webforms" so the sender is basically "Yourwebform" and not easily linked to random spam.Interestingly it also depends on the mail reader I use, some of them tend to pick up with a "hey this looks like spam!" but just toss in a warning.
