@mistergrocks@fosstodon.org If free software requires you to offer services to white supremacists and the far right, I do not want free software.Some things are more important than software ideology, and opposing hatred is one such thing.

@v0idifier This argument was just that if the ideology of free software requires you to be ok with that, then I think that is an argument against it. I find opposing hatred more important than software ideology.

@v0idifier This isn't about being or not being FOSS, it is about the ideology behind it and what counts as FOSS or not. Many advocates of it will claim that being FOSS means you have to allow the software to be used by hateful users. Tusky clearly does not agree with this, since they have taken steps to prevent this. But they are hamstrung in what they can do by the definitions of FOSS, which do not allow them to also specify this in their license.
