Boyfriend wants a picture of me in my wedding attire tomorrow. A rare chance to see Femme Holly, heh.It won't be /that/ femme though, because I'll be working at the wedding and it's outdoors so I want sensible footwear and that means I can't wear the skirt I usually would to a wedding, which is too long for me unless I'm wearing heels.

Going in femme drag means I can have a fascinator too (there's a contest for the most fabulous hat). I have a headband with LED stars on it. :D

It also means I have to wear an Actual Bra though (as opposed to the "sports bra" bralettes I've lived in for the past year). Not sure about this. ;)

Also it took a lot longer to get ready for work this morning. And I've still ended up with no pockets! I can't imagine doing this every day.

The nice thing about putting on all the femme stuff this morning is taking it off again tonight. Hair band, earrings, bracelets, and best of all taking off that bra holy cow how did I wear those things every day for so many years.

@hollyamory The latter A+. But to be honest I don't get the pockets thing! I stopped using pockets even back when I was wearing combat pants (shush, it was a butch phase) because purses ("shoulder bags" in my butch days) were so much better...

Hanging off belt: keys & swipe card, 1 leatherman, 2 adjustable wrenches (depending on job), usually 1 comms pack.

Then sometimes add 15" laptop, extra jumper (I get cold), and tools (spanners & testers).

@epicmorphism @anne @hollyamory a comfy 32L backpack (north face pivoter, but a model they discontinued literally 1 hour after I ordered it online ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). The occasions I am going out more femme/'formal' I transfer most of this to a roomy handbag.

@epicmorphism I mean a modern one, the Sony NW-A45. It fits the 110GB of music I've got, and plays over high quality bluetooth to my headphones (Bowers & Wilkins PX).
