Can anyone on pleroma try following a niu.moe account (for instance, my backup account guizzy@niu.moe ) ?

I just want to confirm that it's not my instance that's the problem.

@shpuld Is that so? Did you use an app or anything of the sort? I get a generic error 500 when I try to do it. But for niu.moe only, not for any other server. As they're the only ones I know of that updated to the latest Mastodon version, I would have thought it could be related to the removal of ostatus support, since the link Pleroma takes for subscriptions (on my server) isĀ /ostatus_subscribe?acct=guizzy%40niu.moe

@shpuld Seems so. Maybe it needs to know some people on the server to find the names? I'm not able to find anyone on remote servers by searching yet.

@shpuld Ok, yes, I'm able to follow people whose profiles have been named on my instance. But can you try following someone clicking "Remote Follow" from the Mastodon profile?

@shpuld Ok, so I know it's not an issue on my end. Judging by the address, I think the remote follow with pleroma was dependant on ostatus, and was broken by disabling it.
