       bat update: according to the landlord they can't/won't do anything about the bats getting into the apartment because "it's mating season" (?????) so I am now doomed to be terrorized by horny bats

       bat update: upon further research there is, in fact, a law in NC preventing you from removing bats from your home during mating season so, uh, I'll update you September 1st
