@cwebber it’s like the take I read a while ago:Liberals in 2017: C’mon, you’re making it sound like he’s going to build concentration campsLiberals in 2018: Ok first of all it’s offensive that you’d call them concentration camps

       > In the American consciousness, the term is synonymous with the Nazi death machines across the European continent that the Allies began the process of dismantling 75 years ago this month. But while the world-historical horrors of the Holocaust are unmatched, they are only the most extreme and inhuman manifestation of a concentration-camp system> [...] “... the definition of that in my book is, mass detention of civilians without trial.”

@cwebberAs I said before, the term has a very highly charged connotation and it seems like it is being abused to gain an emotional response. While it maybe technically correct I feel it is disrespectful to the millions that where slaughtered.

@yisraeldov @cwebber The internment of the Japanese in the United States occurred in what can only be called concentration camps, and some of those are being repurposed for the refugees at the border (see article). We don't have to refer to the Holocaust to be appropriately horrified. But Germany started with concentration camps in 1933. Death camps started in 1941. I think it would be disrespectful to the dead to forget the lesson that cost them their lives. Never again.
