@Syldexia just keep making stuff for yourself and you might find people with the same problem <3helping out in interesting existing projects you're interested in is usually easier than you think too. I'm involved in a large OSS project and it just started with em watching the github repo on a whim

@Syldexia I'm sure you're far better than you believe you are.OSS projects, for me, were really a good way to gain confidence since you knew someone was reviewing your code. Although you can get some harsh feedback, you can see other's code, often better and worse than yours

@syldexia you have a long-ass time to accomplish that goal and it's way too early for you to be beating yourself up over it not happening yet.

@Syldexia samei learn, but i'm told i'm learning everything "wrong" so i stop and do it "their" way, which is no fun, so i stop again, and feel worthless, so i give up and waste my life away on vidya for a month, then come up with an idea, which i don't have the knowledge to implement, so i learn, rinse and repeat

@freon @Syldexia never fucking worry about people telling you you're learning it "wrong"they're trying to help but learning is done by doing and making mistakes, not following the "correct" path from day 1if that means not showing your work to people who give the wrong response, it's well worth itand i say that as someone who gives the wrong response far too often...

@syldexia I've already lived longer than my young self could imagine into the future. but it's kind of liberating in a way, I am doing stuff that I never would have thought I would end up doing. aging is interesting like that. I bet your wish will come true if you always keep it in your mind.

@moonman idk I still doubt it tbh, even if I do live longer than I expect, I still need confidence and stuff which will never happen

@freon @kurisu sameeeI'm like too socially anxious to ever ask any questions. Even if I know it's okay there is just like some mental block and I just can't ever do it.

@Syldexia Do small pushes, and one day you will guaranteed to find yourself in a mess that you like, but that’s horrible and it needs your mind applied to it.example-150621.jpg
