       I... don't know if the "masterbrand" logo was supposed to be already in usage? I guess? We'll see what they want to do with it this Monday tho

       @Shrigglepuss this one? It's their new "masterbrand", representing not only the browser but also the services! https://mstdn.io/@espectalll/102226999012648593

       @Shrigglepuss this should NOT become the logo you see on any app icon, but rather the one you see on the official website, when using your Firefox account, so on

       @espectalll so it's like their "all the other Firefox stuff that isn't Firefox" logo? Sounds confusing =p

       @Shrigglepuss no, it's all the Firefox stuff logo, but not the one you will usually see? like, it's the one that Mozilla will use to tell you that there's more to Firefox than the browser https://twitter.com/firefox/status/1135899381054418945

       @espectalll Oh no, that was the one logo I really hated in System 1

       @Feuerfuchs nah, it's more like a mix of systems 1 and 2

       @hirnbrot it does to me too, I guess! The planet looks purple tho, and I have yet to see how it's going to fit on a phone icon or look like on my GNOME

       @espectalll Looks fine. I prefer these simpler logos 'cause they tend to get play nicer with themes or simple color tweaks.The meta Mozilla logo is much improved, you can tell it's FIrefox related without necessarily confusing it for Firefox (assuming the right context, anyways). Wasn't it basically the Gitlab logo before, or is the one you showed earlier just for stuff tangentially related to Firefox and they're still using essentially the Gitlab logo for themselves?

       @espectalll Oh, yeah, it doesn't look as cramped as the System 1 proposal, so that's better. But that's about it, so it's more like 80% System 1, 20% System 2.I really wish they had retained the leg and made the ears more like in System 2.Systems-1-2-1.jpg

       @Helmic the Gitlab logo was the other choice they had for a meta logo, in what was called "System 1", the new "masterbrand" logo is a variation of what they called "System 2" https://blog.mozilla.org/opendesign/evolving-the-firefox-brand/

       @Feuerfuchs I think they balanced it out well enough, my biggest worry is how disproportionately high the tail in 1 was over the rest of the logo, so that's definitely been fixed. I do wish they kept the leg, but I understand it's a hard detail to scale down
