Just learnt about #Jami.Looks awesome.https://jami.net/Anyone knows it?One single issue: in the privacy policy they say they use a #BlockChain: https://jami.net/privacy-policy/I can't find any other info about it but I know that the BlockChain is going to crash soon, so... will it survive to it?/cc @switchingsocial

@switchingsocial @Jami at a first glance it seems you are the first to get the communication architecture right!I was very amused by looking at your website, but then found something weird. In the #Privacy policy you name the #BlockChain: what do you use it for?Which network are you using? Is it optional? Can it be removed? Will #Jami keep working when the #BlockChain will be finally forgot?I can't find the matter named anywhere else, but to me it's fundamental before spreading it.

@Shamar There are some explanations here: https://jami.net/the-jami-blockchain-switches-from-proof-of-work-to-proof-of-authority/ and through https://docs.jami.net (Wiki=>Jami=>Name server)It's only used to store usernames on ns.jami.net, so yes it is optionnal. If you still want a username, you can have your own name server (I just host a JSON file on my website for example)@switchingsocial @Jami

@deavmi @AmarOk @switchingsocial @Jami Unfortunately my android phone died. I resumed an old Win8 Nokia, but I can't say when I'll be able to fix the android one or buy a new smart phone. Mainly time issues.Yet, I'd really like to see #Jami succeed: I feel it has almost the right architecture. The only issue found while playing with it was the lack of a local contact list even as limited as a pair of (Name X Number). It shouldn't be advanced but should allow you to REALLY use it privately
