       @colophonscrawl Someone with McKenna in their bio complaining about "actual traditional systems" is a bit rich. For the record, we do have grounding in and extensive knowledge of traditional paths, but I do not think that creating our own genuine paths better suited to our circumstances is any less authentic than going to indigenous shamans and taking part in their rituals as if they were our own (although we do respect their knowledge and use the parts that we think are path-agnostic, of course).Also, anna was completely correct when she said that everyone is roleplaying. Egos are just characters that interface between the soul and body. However, I think roleplaying your ego with sincerity is better than being irony poisoned and treating every attempt at doing something real (inasmuch as anything can be) and unique as edgelording.Screenshot_20190603_043157.png…

       @helvegr Of course it isn't less authentic. You actually just agreed with all my points. I don't think you understand my point about why someone coming on here accusing others of larping while using their own system that borrows heavily from systems outside their cultural matrix is shooting themselves in the foot.

       @colophonscrawl I think he was just calling anna a larper because she didn't want to have a serious discussion and doesn't seem to think magic is that important, while to him it is pretty much the basis of meaning and existence. I do agree it's a pretty dumb insult in this context, though.Anyway, I was specifically disagreeing with the part about it not being a real spirit animal, because it definitely is, and calling it a fursona doesn't lessen it in any way, see attached image by the greatest prophet of our time.furryposthumanism.png
