Question for infosec.exchange people: is IPv6 access to the service important to you? I.e., would it be inconvenient to you if I moved to a server with no IPv6?

@jerry That's gonna be a big no from me, Jerry.Currently, I couldn't give a shit. A "universally accessible" IP address is cool, but why would you need that if it's accessible from the web via IPv4?

@m4iler Making sure there aren’t people who ONLY have IPv6 access.

@jerry No. Still no IPv6 access here unless I setup a tunnel, which isn't worth the hassle :)

@jerry But, but, but I *finally* moved this week to a place where the ISP provides *native* #IPv6! 😭 On a more serious note: If it makes your life easier, then single-stack it on Legacy-IP. We're still a long way off from IPv6-only with no gateway to the legacy world.

@jerryNo concerns here. Like others, my isp doesn't support IPv6 yet.

@jerry wouldn't skip a beat, sadly. One day we'll all be there and we'll have forgotten there ever was an ip4, pretty sure we'll also be long dead though!!😁

@jerry mildly inconvenient, sure (I’m IPv6-primary); but it would certainly not be the only service that was mildly inconvenient so 🤷🏼‍♂️

@jerry Funny parallel would be like y2k patches.People are worried they might need it, they don't know why... Thank god for subnets!

@sudocat indeed. I am really amazed my hosting provider hands out IPv4 addresses, but not IPv6. Seems backwards.
