@root Hmm. I suppose harvesting sponges does remove volume from the oceans, so assuming that if sponges weren't around their space in the ocean ecosystem would have been occupied by something that humans left in the ocean.../me presses some calculator buttons while saying beep boop...an infinitesimal amount, not worth mentioning on tiny slips of paper.

@Gattogateaux @swirlz the joke is that it wouldn't be any deeper because thr water in thr sponges is the same ocean water i think? but ive analyzed this bad joke to heck and back lol so idk anymore

@root In actual true, it would be shallower, the sponges take up room, actually raise the water level about as much as a kid, pissing in the ocean.

@LambdaWeekly i guess it would be difficult to know for sure unless we had the calculated dry mass of the sponges without the ocean water, but there can't be a way that losing the sponges would change much. and it would depend if they were extracted with or without the water lolgoddd why do i do this

@root It is part of the human condition is to ask why. At one time, I had three living question boxes, that never got tired of asking, "Why" is the sky blue. (large Grin)
