Has anyone used Gorilla Epoxy? I actually need to glue steel and aluminum together. I don't need industrial strength. I'm gluing steel circuit board standoffs into an aluminum enclosure I bought. I could use screws but I don't want to drill holes and have screws showing. It won't look as clean as I want it to.

@Ricardus Yes I have used Gorilla Epoxy. It is less viscous than regular Araldite and I found it reliable and strong.

@Ricardus I have not used that brand but I have used other epoxy. Use caution if the parts will have repeated heat/cool cycles. The expansion of aluminum vs. steel can cause hard epoxy to crack.

@kadin Heat won't be an issue so it should be fine.

@kadin This is just to mount PCB standoffs in an enclosure. I'm looking forward to seeing how well this works. There should be little stress on them, and very little temperature change. Should be fun.

@Ricardus Gotcha. Epoxy should work great then. Personally I like to get either the 5-min or 30-min (use 30 unless you need the quick setting time) 1:1 ratio stuff that comes in two parallel syringes. Depending how much I need, I squeeze it onto either a bottle cap (milk jug caps are great) or for bigger projects a paper ketchup cup from McD's. Stir with a toothpick or popsicle stick and apply. The unused portion lasts a long time if you seal the tubes back up.

@kadin Just waiting for all of the metalwork to come in. I'm building a couple active DI boxes and I found a guy who makes custom cases just for this design, but it's coming from Germany.
