I am looking to buy a second hand laptop in the £200-399 range. I have been looking at a Lenovo Thinkpad X230/X250/X260 with an i7 processor or T420/T430. Any suggestions?

@carbontwelveI've used shop.inrego.se before, which has been quite high quality second hand laptops (but it was a few years since last I bought one from them). Site is in swedish though (as far as I know), and I do not know if they ship to the UK. But with a translation tool, it may be worth taking a look.

@carbontwelve last year I bought a 2nd hand Thinkpad x240 from eBay for just 100€. I bought it from a german seller called "itsco", which sells tens of Thinkpads every week. Check it out!

@carbontwelve I'm not familiar with those particular Thinkpad specs but I absolutely adore my Thinkpad. I had to upgrade my laptop last year due to frying my 7 year old laptop's motherboard, and the Thinkpad line was what ended up coming up when I put in everything I wanted in a lappy into the search bar.

@carbontwelve I don't have experience with those models, but I am a fan of the build quality on nicer thinkpads. As long as you remove the bloatware that lenovo installs, any of those should be fine

@carbontwelve I've tested X230 and X250, X230 is more resistant and with coreboot definitely is my favorite. Good luck
