Attn AlgoNoise.social users: this instance will be migrating from GNUSocial to Pleroma over the coming weekend. The primary reason for this is because my ISP has made a complaint about the excessive mysql queries generated by this instance. Pleroma is under active development (read: a bug report about a similar issue would actually be addressed) and it is designed to run with extremely low overhead. Given the choice migrate or go offline, I feel migration is the best option. There are scripts that are meant to allow migration without data loss. I will make every effort to preserve logins and data, however, you may wish to make your own backups ASAP. @blazpavlica @cybergazz @dafydd61 @debbyfriday @dktr0 @francis @laurenredhead @midigirl1990 @mxjxn @novadeviator @oscarsantis @rebecca @sk @stringbender @testing @uiae @wooloogooloo @yaxu @zorei

@boneidol I have no idea, but my ISP has given me a week to do something about the amount I'm hammering mysql, so...

@celesteh @boneidol the copy there is absolutely not in a working state. Also, the conversion caused a lot of problems even when I got it "working" so I don't recommend doing it.
