I have one of these Navetel Datatest 2 Plus serial analyzers on the way. I used to have one at a job _many_ years ago and have been watching the Ebays for one in good condition to come available. everything finally lined up.

@paradroyd the Datatest 2 looks like a very interesting tool / toy.Do you have a use case for it? Or is it simply something you've admired and want to own?If you do have a use case for it, what is said use case?I have utmost respect for serial and what it can do / did do over the years. Just curious about /current/ uses.

@drscriptt The answer is somewhere in between the two. I have a lot of older computers, mostly 8 and 16 bit, that I use with Wifi modems and connect to Raspberry Pis and a Decserver over serial. I'll use the Datatest to troubleshoot when I have problems and to test theories of new ways to do things.

@paradroyd Ah. You want want a sniffer for serial communications.I get it!I've never felt the need myself, but that's my own shortcoming.
