I had a lucid dream once and the first thing I tried was to experiment with how my brain was creating the images. So I turned my head around quickly to see how fast my brain could create what I was seeing. I saw black and white images and outlines, like a colouring book, being coloured in. Of course, it could have just been my brain tricking me into thinking that's how it was creating the images. I love dreaming. #luciddream

@neb Yes, I'd love to be able to do it more often. Did you manage to have more lucid dreams when it was your hobby? Sadly, it only happens very rarely for me.Sleep for Android has a setting that will set off an audio alert that says "You are dreaming" if it think you are in a lucid state.

@politicalcustardWell, I focused a lot on it.Would look at hands/wacth during wake times and if they were weird I could assume I was dreaming.Read books on it, like Castaneda, or more pop-scientific stuff. This was before the apps came :)Somebody told me to try to start a motorbike if I was dreaming. I couldn't! (Also, try turning the lights off!)When I did wake-in-dream I would eventually end up with something intimate.Once I tried to jump in front of a train for fun, just got pushed back

@neb I just downloaded 'The Art of Dreaming' ah Carlos Casteneda (a name I remember from living with psychonaughts. I also downloaded 'A Field Guide to Lucid Dreaming: Mastering the Art of Oneironautics' by Dylan Tuccillo. Thanks for the tips, I shall be checking my hands at regular intervals from now on!

@neb @politicalcustard Jumping in front of a train might be dangerous, unless you've already tested your telekinesis / flying ability, since you might just be very, very delirious due to a sudden illness or something.

@wizzwizz4 It's completely harmless! The framework wouldn't even allow for contact! I just slid like with the airstreams around it and landed back on the platform. When I am aware of dreaming I know my physical body is not engaged. It's where I last put it.If I was delirious or ill or unconscious of dreaming, I probably wouldn't dare!
