@Matter I don't know what a lot of that means, but I shall enjoy investigating, tomorrow, the terms I don't understand. Thanks for introducing me to new stuff. :)

@neb @Matter What you dismissively call 'crutches', I call 'roller skates'! Each to their own! :D

@cigarBGuitarEfx I've tried Dvorak and it definitely feels much more efficient, sadly I've been touch typing with qwerty for 30 years and it seemed like too much reprogramming of my brain at the time. If I could do it all over again I'd definitely go with Dvorak. Perhaps I'll give it another go now that you've planted a brain seed! I also swipe on my so if probably have to learn that all over again.

If you like Firefox Containers then you might want to check out this fork. It's very nice. "Fork of Multi-Account Containers that adds transition rules, which let you choose the container to open a page based on the opening container. It also adds other improvements to reduce papercuts and unwanted prompts."https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/containers-with-transitions/#firefox #containers #privacy

Android question. Say if I were to use a firewall application like NetGuard that uses a "local vpn" would I be able to use it in conjunction with my VPN service, in this case Private Internet Access that is managed using the OpenVPN app. The other alternative is to root my device and install AFWall+.Any advice would be greatly appreciated, lovely community!

I really find it satisfying to complete Street Complete missions when I'm out-and-about, so much more fun than Pokémon Go (at least for me anyway)!"[Street Complete] app finds incomplete and extendable data in your vicinity and displays it on a map as markers. Each of those is solvable by answering a simple question to complete the info on site. The info you enter is then directly added to the OpenStreetMap in your name, without the need to use another editor."

@stevenroose It's called Aurora, someone told me about it in a reply to my original post. Another recommendation I got was for Aptoid which I've started using instead of Yalp.https://www.aptoide.com/

@noorul @stevenroose @Ajz Another thing I noticed about Aptiode, other than the ads, is that the apps it was recommending required loads of unnecessary permissions. Very dodgy.

@silverspookgames I heard a wonderful piece of advice from someone yesterday. Shut down runway access to private jets at airports nearby to the Superbowl! Trump's mates will be furious! :D

@kelbot When you say "gesture typing" does that mean swiping? I'm using GBoard, I have a firewall that stops it from calling home, but I'd definitely love to support an open source swiping app.

@kelbot Nice. I did try it a couple of weeks ago but there was no swiping option, after a day of pecking I'd had enough of it! I'll give it another go. Thanks!

I had a lucid dream once and the first thing I tried was to experiment with how my brain was creating the images. So I turned my head around quickly to see how fast my brain could create what I was seeing. I saw black and white images and outlines, like a colouring book, being coloured in. Of course, it could have just been my brain tricking me into thinking that's how it was creating the images. I love dreaming. #luciddream

@neb Yes, I'd love to be able to do it more often. Did you manage to have more lucid dreams when it was your hobby? Sadly, it only happens very rarely for me.Sleep for Android has a setting that will set off an audio alert that says "You are dreaming" if it think you are in a lucid state.

I love that my SMS messages to my mum are sent and received by Signal. When I gave her to option of installing Signal, and explained how encryption works, she said, "Ooh, that sounds like a good idea." She's going to be 80 this year. My dad's OnePlus One is running Lineage with no Gapps.
