The fact that in the fediverse different UIs can have different little features, makes me don't want to use any of them. So many little, good ideas lost in the in-fighting of who does what, and sometimes on meaningless things (like the mastodon user directory "debate). This could be a great network, but we have like 3-4 half-baked tools, non of them are complete enough to be fully useable.I am writing this from a pleroma instance, but with the mastodon UI. There are now local-only post, which posts to only the instance you are on. #fediverse #mastodon #pleroma

@parasurv Actually pleroma doesn’t have support for the local-only posts at the moment.

@lanodan Yes, and that's bother me. We have like 5-6 UI with so many different feature sets that we really should merge them here and there. I don't mind minimalist stuff (brutaldon, pinafore), but some of the bigger ones need to merge or come closer in features, imo.

@parasurv No, I mean the backend doesn’t have support for them, it’s displayed on mastofe but will only add a 👁️ at the end.And yeah it’s a bit sad that all the clients aren’t on parity in terms of features but it’s quite a lot of work to be and some are probably out of the UI design.
