       Lately I've been using #scuttlebutt for talking to strangers over the internet. I like the emphasis on one-to-one human connections, and the lack of emphasis on theatrics. The people are generally kind, patient, and seem to have intact attention spans.        @jrc03c @cscottmills it's not super important what pub you join. Currently they're pretty much only necessary for bootstrapping. Just pick one with open invites and just start following people who seem cool.
