       The Facebook app no longer has a "show most recent posts first" buttonIt is now officially useless as a social medium because I cannot tell what is actually going on in my contacts' lives, as opposed to what happened days or weeks ago@switchingsocial which fedi-facebooks will it be easiest to convince my relatives to join?

       @switchingsocial @DialMforMaraI'm thinking about joining it, especially once ActivityPub support is sorted out, but I'm not sure which instance to join since most of them don't seem to have descriptions unlike Mastodon instances, any recommendations or ways of finding out what they're about instead of just joining them? I'd really like to find one that is LGBT+ Friendly and that protects privacy and people (especially from hate) as much as possible. Thank you.
