It's been a day and I can't still figure out why would you pay $749/859€+ (wtf is that conversion) for an iPhone XR *and* say that it's a cheap phone and Apple now cares about people with tight budgets

@espectalll how else are they going to maintain that $1 trillion market cap?

@strtwl "The iPhone was released in the United States on June 29, 2007 at the price of $499 for the 4 GB model and $599 for the 8 GB model, both requiring a 2-year contract.""A 16 GB model was released on February 5, 2008 for $499, the original launch price of the 4 GB model"

@espectalll @aetios ... and with lesser specs. Because guess what? They lowered the screen resolution among other things.

Oh, the display is not only an IPS LCD, it's also 720p-esque (828x1792). Isn't the screen one of the most expensive components?

@espectalll I know it’s really expensive, but I think I will buy one. I used my iPhone 4s for 3 years and my iPhone 6 for 4y. Android phones don’t last that long and can’t be properly recycled for free. I don’t trust Google with my personal info. I like Apple ecosystem.I will sell a kidney, buy an iPhone Xr and be happy with it for another 4 years.
