KDE screen locker is broken and unlocking is not possible. You have to switch to a TTY and run some command as root. love great software!!

@MightyPork are you using Gentoo or Arch? Because it happened to me using Sabayon, due to permission issues. A file lacks the proper permissions (don't remember what file...)

@MightyPork Sorry I don't remember the guilty file :( obviously not related to SDDM but with loginctl, I suppose.
