       @sean I am hosting a "join party" focussed on getting people to join the #Diaspora and #Frendica networks among the Furry community soon.  The idea being that the biggest reason people don't use social networks is that no one they know uses them.Let's fix that so that there can be a real alternatives to Facebook and Google.

       @cal @sean Diaspora is larger and more active according to  https://the-federation.info which tracks stats for the various networks compromising The Federation.Frendica arguably could be said to be "better" in that it supports more protocols like the ability to track not only Diaspora but also Mastodon, but Diaspora is cleaner and more streamlined and can interact with other networks, just not Masto, yet....Sean is one of the founders of Diaspora. He'd know a bit more about this.
