@ElfLord 1800s and early 1900s. When John Wayne was a young actor starting his movie career he was an extra or bit part actor in a lot of early Westerns, going back into the silent film era. There is a story that he spent a lot of time in the studio canteen between shots talking with an old man who was there as a consultant. That old man was Wyatt Earp. Probably true since Earp did make money consulting on early westerns after the frontier closed down.

@ElfLord It was truly an amazing day. Cows just all over the road refusing to move, eyeing up drivers silently, and a cowboy in a golfcart zipping around try to instill human order and failing.
