       last thing before i go away: what is awesome is when you find out something about someone you've known for nearly 20 years at the same time as everyone else, spend literally *five whole minutes* in disbelief, write *two* entire toots explaining how you know them and why it doesn't sound right, and then realize you're being a schmuck, cut the person off and still, everyone turns on you and says you're friends with a rapist and defending them. you can't have five minutes to process — think an errant thought, correct that line of thought — and handle a situation, without being cancelled. it's remarkable really. not days, not hours. in the span of a handful of minutes he was banned and i was canceled nonetheless for not wanting to believe it for less than five minutes. i fucked up but those are some impossible standards.
