Do you remember I praises AWS for its documentation? I definitely retract from my words.

@ekaitz_zarraga @xiroux Docs change everything. When I started using Python around 2003 I was in fucking hell. Years later I returned when they revamped all their docs and it was night and day; made things so much easier.

@jordila @ekaitz_zarraga @xiroux So that's one of the interesting things that is changing .. Stack Overflow helps fill the gaps, give a lot of examples for some of the more complex or common but odd problems. Devs often look at SO questions first since they tend to be more specific than official docs. But also, better auto-documentation comments (Javadocs, Scaladocs, Spinx in Python) helps build the code/docs together. Elixir lets you run tests based on the examples you show in the code docs!

@djsumdog @ekaitz_zarraga @xiroux ... just did it again ! I searched for "my-issue-here"... got onto the corresponding documentation page. And without having finished reading it ... nor tried to fully understand it. Jumped onto SO ... looking for a more concise answer ? Are we loosing the capability of reading carefully and patientlly in the name of 'productivity' ?

@djsumdog @ekaitz_zarraga @xiroux I'm still a little disappointed in Python's docs. It's a great language, but I wish they would be more expressive and add more examples in for the beginner. I mean compare Python's documentation for abs() vs PHP's:https://docs.python.org/3/library/functions.html#abshttps://secure.php.net/manual/en/function.abs.phpThe fact that PHP has example code for every function in it's standard lib is one of the things it did get right.
