       @alex Trump declared the right-wing opposition party that sat the election out to be the legitimate winners and Guaido has sworn himself in. The US and Brazil are now openly planning to support him because Trump and Bolsonaro are fascists. American liberals are falling in line with that because they need socialism to fail if it isn't done by capitalist-friendly white people and Venezuela has massive petroleum reserves.

       @Zero_Democracy thank you for this brief summary! yeah i dunno i feel like all the stuff I've seen has been mostly MSM talking abt food shortages and stuff and then mostly radio silence from leftist news (or i just have missed it or something)so idk much abt the current regime

       @alex It's not all unicorn farts and cinnamon buns, but the US has been *aggressively* undermining it for obvious reasons, and our pundit class has been playing the ground work for the "regime change" shit for a long time now. So it's like how people constantly talk about Cuba not having new cars without mentioning the whole blockade thing.
