im putting my irony voice away right now if you are a leftist and think revolution is at all going to be seen in your lifetime you should learn how to sustain yourself-learn what local plants you can get nutrition from (you can usually find trees that have bark or plant roots that are non poisonous that will provide you with snacks)-learn how to fish or hunt (fishing is a lot easier to do and also learn)-know how to build some kind of shelter im not talking about log cabin shit either

@naturefan I sincerely hope there is no revolution, but these are skills (along with basic cookery, sewing, and DIY) that are good to have regardless.

@naturefan hello this is important and I agree. I am a slightly older leftist than the average tooter and I learned outdoor survival skills at a young age. We should be starting schools or community ed to recreate the weird shit right wingers teach their kids just naturally

continued-know the dangerous wild life in your local areas and know how to identify them( im talking about trails and shit i have personally not died because i knew what a cotton mouths nest looked like)-have some small kind of survival bag with you shit can hit the fan at any moment and it cant hurt to have a cheap tent and some cooking utensils just incasethis is your advice for now if i see you in the apocalypse bad lands i will fight you to the death and steal your gear

@Ttle I feel like i cannot speak on this without sounding like a nature tankie.... but i feel like global warming isnt going to be solved coasts are going to be erased and food is gonna be sparce if it truly does get that bad you dont wanna be any wear near a city with a large population I dont think you need "wilderness" skills but knowing how to be self sustaining and survive cant ever hurt
