@drisc For the web haha. I've got the instance running on the web on my computer while I'm watching something on my TV with it, though I'm replying through Tusky. I've had it running in the background all week at work. Love to hear that little bloop.

@ian I really like it as well haha, if your running a chromium based browser then it’s probably the default for that. If not then it must be part of the actual web client which is pretty sweet.

@ian Found it, it’s a file called boop.mp3 that is rendered when the notifications state changes, it’s part of the react front end for the web interface: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/blob/995f8b389a66ab76ec92d9a240de376f1fc13a38/app/javascript/mastodon/middleware/sounds.js

@neauoire @drisc @somnius I'm just being sarcastic, since of course this instance is chock-full of talented musicians of note! I think it would be cool to hear some custom tones designed by some of those same talented artists.
