At the moment I have 3 screens on my desk, 1 of which is almost never used. Think I'm gonna sell them all and get one 27 inch. Maybe 4k.

@drisc I'm running two 27", 1440p monitors. I love it.

@ian I'm tempted, however the main reason I want to reduce monitors is to reduce distraction. I've noticed that I get more done when I am limited to a single screen such as my laptop.Looking at how I use the second one, more often than not it has unrelated stuff on it that distracts me. It's convenient for some tasks but ideally the plan is to develop a workflow that separates stuff into spaces, whether using i3 (Linux) or the Spaces feature of macOS. chunkWM is also something to look into.

@drisc That's fair. I love having the real estate. My left monitor is vertical for easy reading, writing, and code. Also great for music players.

@ian Had the right-side monitor vertical for a few weeks to see if I liked it. Even at 24 inches it's still waaaaay too tall, couldn't get used to it at all haha

@ian That looks super cozy. Mine a bit bigger but the plan is to build my own desk later this year to replace the behemoth. Left most screen is mainly used for the Nintendo Switch and various Pis. Center is the main and right is generally social media or videos/documentation.

@ian Looking at it now this will probably be the last picture I take of that setup, I'm removing the side monitors ready for sale later on.

@ra @ian Thanks, it’s a Fractal Node 202. MiniITX since I wanted my PC to be as small as possible while still accommodating a full size graphics card.

@drisc @ian ah, I see. I was thinking of it too, when was building my rig. But I've opted for the Silverstone ML08 instead (they got me on handle :)
