       @artsyhonker I'm afraid of that rhetoric as showing the left side as completely clueless about how world works.Yeah, I would love to live in a borderless, horizontal, anarchistic society, but that's not doable for most of the population right now. If we keep saying that, people will see us as loonies and won't even try to discuss how to approach migration problems.

       @alxd @artsyhonker The ideas of passports and immigration didn't exist 200 ~ 300 years ago, sure. If you could speak the language and knew enough of the culture, you could survive. If you didn't you became a slave. To say national borders are racists are to take a very complicated issue involving war, might makes right, debt and empire, and reduce them to a non sequitur. I don't want to be demeaning, but it's like Hobbes explaining things to Calvin. It's just an oddly totalist statement.
