The world owes each of us a living. It's not like any of us asked to be here, after all.Anybody who tells you otherwise is a cop.

@starbreaker The foundation of the world is nature, which doesn't even promise that you won't be eaten alive by a predator while you're still an infant.Anything that nature doesn't provide is a privilege you enjoy. A right is nothing but an opinion about what one is entitled to, and there is no such thing as being entitled to a thing in nature. You see something and you take it, with force if necessary. You pick the fruit from the tree, and have robbed the tree of a part of its reproductive apparatus. You kill the rabbit because you're hungry. The tiger eats the child because it is starving. Your rights always infringe on the rights of other organisms. There are no rights. We have all these "universal ideas" we have invented, such as ethics, but they're only in our minds, and we can't even agree on them.Society can collapse into civil war tomorrow. What happens to your entitlement then? The world is a swarm of people trying to get by in various ways. Some of them might feel inclined to help you, but if you claim the right to be helped, this infringes upon their liberty, since they are now forced to use time and energy to aid you. What happens to the things they feel entitled to in this situation? You get a job if another human deems you useful and wishes to pay for your labour. If no humans find you useful, you will not get a job. Guaranteeing a job for everyone is what the Soviets did. Look at how that worked out for them.I get where you're coming from, but I think it's far more constructive to approach the world with a "how can I make myself useful" attitude rather than an "I deserve things" attitude.
