@debbie I feel like thats more because of how much web standards suck rather than incompetence on the part of browser developers but i agree :p

@prydt no it is not about the standards imo. the problem is that all good browsers are made by companies. and all others are outdated and suck

@debbie id argue that its all about how complex the standards are... how come there hasnt been any really noteworthy attempt community driven browser? its because its absurdly difficult to actually implement web standards which is why all good browsers are made by companies...

@debbie I agree but it is based on the QTWebEngine which is in turn based on Chromium... its hard to find a browser that doesnt have an engine made by a company at the core...

@debbie there is a reason gopher lost to http... it is because of support of graphics, and i believe this is the same reason browsers like lynx and dillo just wont work for the large majority of people (including me), not being able to use JS and other things just wont fly because a many sites require them such as youtube...

@prydt I'm not very sad to see this this dying off because of the reasons mentioned in this screenshot but I do agree that the more the merrier especially since a lot of these HTML engines seem to have problems. That and Chrome's 60%+ usage worries me.

@prydt People who don’t understand competition’s value needn’t be posting.
