I'm thinking of installing linux on my laptop. What distro and DE do people recommend nowadays? I'm a somewhat knowledgeable user but don't wanna spend a long time configuring and tinkering with stuff. I'm thinking Mint with Cinnamon because that's what I last used but it's been quite a few years so I don't know if there's better options

@xaphania linux mint is a really good distro, yeahi use arch linux which is more advanced and involved, but i still use cinnamon because it's a wonderful DEmint is based on ubuntu (which is based on debian) so there's heaps of software available in the repos! mint is a great choice~
