       Well, I just learned that all the profile images of cartoon children, isn't just for show. It actually reflects the prevailing mindset of the community on the fediverse. Sadly, I think that's about the last straw for me. It's been a slice. Of what exactly, I'm not so sure tbh.

       @rtwx Agreed. There are some folks here I'll miss, but tbh, it wasn't just one thing. It's been adding up almost since day one. I find the experience isn't sufficiently different from other commercial social networks, and in delving into the technical side of it, I find the privacy/security and overall respect for liberty in general actually quite a bit worse on a number of counts. I may create another totally separate account just to lurk, but I won't be posting anymore, nor on this account.
