omg i just want a cat. i miss the way they smell and purr and that fur.i can't have one in this place and that's okay because i still wear my grief too close to the surface, even after 3 years. i don't know if i want to go through that again ever.but sometimes i see the lovely sweet things on my feed and i just want one in my life again.

@pixelpaperyarn I'm trying to figure out if I can fit shelter volunteering into my schedule. I don't want to clean up after a cat at home ever again, but I don't have enough kitty contact in my life.

@testingwithfireI second the shelter volunteering idea if you don't want to own one but still want that animal companionship occasionally. Cats there certainly need the attention @pixelpaperyarn

@skypage @testingwithfire i caaaaan't. i'll just cry and want to take them all home. 😿 i'm okay around other people's cats, but around critters that don't have a forever home? i'm a mess. lol.
