       >tfw E485 is on black friday sale with Ryzen 5 2500U>AMD's Vega 8 has like 1.5-2x the gaming perf of Intel's UHD 620>If you upgrade to R7 2700U it's even better because Vega 10why couldn't they have put that cpu in the T480 instead of making me deal with this MX150

I mentioned it in my blog post, but the Nvidia GPU was probably what I hated most about the T480. I was stuck deciding between waiting for the E485 (The spec page leaked like 5 months prior so I knew it'd launch) or buying the T480. I want the warranty and build of the T480, and especially the 1440p screen. But god, having an AMD GPU would've made things so much easier, not to mention that the E-series is of course cheaper so I would've saved money.

@quad Maybe thermal issues prevent it from being just a drop-in replacement?

@unicornhunt There's thermal issues with stuff like the RX550 maybe. But Ryzen CPUs with integrated graphics don't run much hotter than Intel ones afaik, if at all.Lenovo are doing Ryzen ThinkPads though, it just hasn't hit the T-line yet

@unicornhunt I was hoping for a T485, but nothing popped up so I went with the T480 and dealt with the MX150 GPU.
