       @babe is it worth managing your own instance? I don't know any of the admin tools at all and don't know how it works.

       @feminineforms I really like it for the sake of being away from instance drama/in control of things but it's pretty quiet on the TL to start until your users begin discovering accounts/instances.It doesn't have elastic search and you get throttled sometimes too.Admin tools are very simple and as it's fully hosted you don't do any maintenance or anything. Admin is basically the 'add emoji' tab

       @babe It will just be me tbh and quiet is very good and what I'm looking for.I am sorry if this is a bad question or obvious but, I don't know what elastic search is?That's very good to hear re: maintenance! You can block domains and such still right?

       @feminineforms Elastic search is where you can look up text/the content of toots. With Mastohost you can only look up hashtags and usernames.You can, yeah. At instance level or user level
