With so many looking to switch instances, try and look at spreading out. If you all go to the same one, or ones other bofa folks moved to, and there's an issue or it can't handle the influx, this'll all happen again. The movement to so many different ones post-bofa means this is a far smaller a problem than it could have been, and shows the merits of scattering. #meta

@thatcosmonaut @HYPERLINK the fact that nazis and those adjacent tend to flock to instances of their own as they're not accepted on so many others has the effect of them exiling themselves. It seems like it'd be a weakness in the way this place works but it largely seems to be a strength since it's well communicated among instances who bad actors are.

There's an argument to be made about what kind of community you want with actual users/the mark the account as a bot thing but how people use their social media isn't up to me. I'd probably consider using an auto script for certain things like bun content myself tbh
