@starbreaker I stopped reading at 'Unlike much of Linux and FreeBSD, the included manuals are high quality..' this makes me sick, especially coming from a ex Gentoo and FreeBSD user, as if Gentoo wiki and FreeBSD mans and Handbook weren't amazing examples of complete, concise and effective documentation too

@sehnsucht @starbreaker yep, that's an unnecessary and inaccurate attack.I don't know if OpenBSD docs in general are better, but the man pages are usually more complete. But that's still an extremely high bar to pass as the BSDs in general have great man pages.

@sehnsucht @starbreaker To be fair, OpenBSD man pages and Linux/FreeBSD man pages are no comparison at all. A lot of it stems from the fact that OpenBSD disallows commits that don’t include changes to the man pages. And no code without a detailed man page gets checked in. This means man pages are always high quality and up to date. FreeBSD man pages are far from that quality, and GNU even more because they explicitly say to write incomplete man pages so that people use GNU info instead.

@js @sehnsucht @starbreaker I miss an "openBSD developer book" as the BSD 4.4 one, with C examples.
