Is there a way to get rid of the GTK3 file chooser and replace it with the GTK2 one?

@lynnesbian Yeah. I get physical pains when I have to fight every single reflex that is telling me "just type out the file name", because that starts a search of my whole home folder for some dumb reason.

@lynnesbian The "feature" is called 'typeahead' and is hardcoded. In Arch you'd have a gtk3-typeahead package in AUR that would resolve it (supposedly). For me, in gentoo, I can take the patchhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/TomaszGasior/gtk3-mushrooms/master/file-chooser__typeahead.patchof another Arch package, and apply it to my gtk+:3 in gentoo, and ta-da! Also, cred to meriipu at #gentoo on freenode.I genuinely tear:ed up when I saw it working.
