I don't need any new gadgets, but now I want a Pinebook. Maybe I'll satisfy that urge for something new by reinstalling my Dell Inspiron Mini 10V. It has Debian, but maybe I should try something else... I'll ponder what would be cute and lightweight.Sorry if I always think of small computers and their software as cute. I offended a sales guy at Best Buy that way once. Don't think he loved a random girl asking nerdy questions and calling his Windows laptops cute.

@nolifeorname @hund Ha! I should try, just to see how badly I fail. I know my nerd-fu isn't up to it. It's something for my life to-do list, just to say I did. Have you used it??

@cameron @nolifeorname It can be a bit scary and overwhelming at first with a lot of new things that you don' know much about. But once you get familiar with it, it's actually not that difficult. :) Gentoo is currently my only OS on this computer now. I have Arch somewhere, but I managed to break it before and I haven't gotten around to fix it yet. :)

@hundMy only issue with gentoo is the amount of time recompling updates takes.although there are some nice gains to be made by using gentoo, about 6 years ago I ran both Sabayon and calculate-linux for a while @nolifeorname @cameron

@jason @nolifeorname @cameron It's not that bad unless you have very weak hardware. :)
