       @Mastodon Well they could have a presence in the fediverse as well as wherever else they have accounts already.I've told my local council to have their emergency announcements on more than Meta and Twitter, but it falls on deaf ears.

       @Mastodon One thing that politicians should really consider is creating their own instance to give them complete control of their messaging and build their public image.Think about the benefit that Trump has gained from Truth Social.By posting things on their own social media site they can draw interest from the media to their posts in a way that is superior to just riding other platforms.
