       @Mastodon I've been looking & waiting for that. Since you provide best FLOSS implementation of Fediverse and you are non-profit, to be sustainable and keep it going it's okay to have income streams via SaaS, support. I've been also looking towards commercial clients, apps.

       @Mastodon People are pretty routinely harassed for being brown and queer as a result of the poor moderation on mastodon.social. So far that I've seen, white - and particularly white Euro - accounts are still mostly unaware. So now the non-profit is going to offer others this service that is the reason most brown people stay clear of this place as a paid service? Sigh. The way the rest of things are going, this fits.

       @Mastodon good idea. I've been worried this service wouldn't last and revenue will ensure it does. I've also always thought governments should be running their own instances rather than run their communications via a closed social network so hope this encourages buy-in

       @Mastodon Bravo!! 👏 This will help so many companies, institutions, local councils, clubs etc who have no idea how to set up an account or instance, join the Fediverse. I personally know a company that's recently come across Mastodon and have been thinking about how they could create and manage their own instance but wasn't sure how. This will be their solution for sure!! Great news! 🤗

       @Mastodon You are now competing with other providers of these services while you are the developer of the software, too. So there is an incentive to keep your competition down. You’ll use software and/or documentation to achieve that.And when the first lawsuits about lacking moderation drop, buying “proper” moderation will be considered the only responsible way to operate a server.This is the way to centralize the fediverse. It’s a bad decision.
