       @rob @dansup got mine as well, but it honestly left me with a lot of confusion. There seems to be a great detachment between what is written and what the actual status is.

       @sturmsucht @rob @dansup  *waves* I’m the author. I’ve tried to keep people updated with facts, and there will be more updates over time. This was mostly about confirming the kickstarter tier rewards.I’ve promised to only update every few months to not flood people’s inboxes… but there is a lot of progress being made.Anything in particular you need me to cover in the future?        @sturmsucht @dansup @shlee  I gave freely to the Pixelfed project, without expectation. It is my hope that Pixelfed will continue to grow. I thought the update was well written. Keep up the good work.I wouldn't say to totally ignore the haters, but people are going to complain no matter what.

       @rob It's easy to call everyone a hater because then you don't have to improve anything.Communication around Pixelfed is frustrating, and everything is loaded with a weird revenge narrative; you don't know whether it targets the Fediverse or is just shouted into the wrong bubble.I'm happy Pixelfed exists. Really happy. I supported the Kickstarter, and I donated for several months.But there are a lot of things that need to be improved to shut the actual haters down.@dansup @shlee

       @shlee I miss honesty in that update. You wrote that Pf did great since the end of the campaign when we didn't see any update for months. You wrote that Dan is working on the new UI when his posts were all about Pf Stories - and now Loops. Still no new UI. And my personal downer was the postponing and defacto cancellation of one of the bonuses that actually made me choose my tier: no previews. Maybe next year. Feels like fraud. That's terrible communication. And no update since then either.

I’ll ask for an update from the dev team (I am a volunteer and offer no development insight).I will be as honest as I can.Edit: also, please don’t say fraud, I lost over $1000 on as nas and hard drives that never existed.        @shlee but you get why I feel kind of ripped off? The kickstarter read like: "new UI coming! Get this tier for previews before anyone else". It's not about delaying things or priority changes. It's the intransparency about that.It could avoid so much "hater talk" if it was clear about what is going on - and a newsletter that feels very off to what is actually happening adds to that.As the one communicating for these projects you ARE offering insights to development. So please do.
