It is a gorgeous sunny day - and our #eucalyptus tree is thriving. We were a bit concerned with how it would do in the London clay, but with a bit of TLC, a splurge of food, and plenty of water, it is growing up quickly.Huge thanks to https://www.hardy-eucalyptus.com/ for the plant, accessories, and advice.#PlantATree

One year later, and I think it is fair to say our Eucalyptus tree is *thriving*!This time last year I was taller than it. Now it is easily twice my height.Gorgeous smell, beautiful leaves, but sadly hasn't attracted any 🐨This is a "Eucalyptus neglecta" from https://www.hardy-eucalyptus.com/#PlantATree

I know of no greater pleasure than watching bees getting covered in pollen as they rummage around your sunflowers.

@_elena I reckon so! But I'm not an expert. Email the Hardy Eucalyptus people - they'll be able to advise.

@_elena @Edent They're native to Australia, most varieties are great with heat and reduced rainfall.

@_elenaThey thrive in heat. Lots of species are drought tolerant as well. Australia has a lot of hot climate zones, from tropical to desert, and different species of eucalyptus are at home in them all.@Edent
