       Incredibly proud of the rapid progress we are making with @PixelFed 🚀We're also working on some groundbreaking safety and moderation features that will be released later this month.We are partnering with a 3rd party service to do CSAM detection and reporting and adding comment controls to the official app next week.#pixelfed

       @dansup you're talking about a 3rd party service - will it be hosted on your infra or will data be sent to another party for processing? If the technology is ready and it can be self-hosted - maybe it's worth considering such filters for Mastodon as well. Some jurisdictions might require it sooner of later.

       @thomas We will be generating the hashes and sending the hashes to a 3rd party service to check for a match, the photos will not be uploaded or transmitted outside of the origin server.We are building a public service that we will host for this, likely using Fediscovery so it will be compatible with Mastodon and other services!

       @dansup @pixelfed does that include the ability to 'like'/'boost' individual photos in a post of several photos, and then perhaps order the photos in the post by the vote aggregation - at the choice of the poster.

       @dansup @pixelfed also interesting if a poster could categorize their post, to differentiate (hierarchical tags) between things like: *  art photo     *  landscape     *  portrait     *  pets & animals     *  sport     *  family & group     *  macro     *  astro     *  ... *  meme     *  political     *  satire     *  fun     *  ...And that other users can prioritize seeing areas they're interested in, using these hierarchical tags, as well as reputation, location, affiliations, hashtags, etc.

       @dansup @pixelfed just adds richness of expression to the text associated with the photo/video. For example, if I posted a group photo, I could identify the people using a bulleted or numbered list (e.g. top left to bottom right)*Back row--Bob--Jenny*Middle row--GregEtc...I could imagine near infinite number of other use cases.

       @dansup @PixelFed please could you add being able to login to pixelfed without going into the browser first cause everytime I authorize pixelfed app on my browser going back to the app restarts it and it doesn't login
