       Sorry but how is it the best messaging app? I'm too spoiled by messaging services that support multiple devices. Like Telegram. Or VK messages. Or, heck, even ICQ, although only one could be connected at once. Or Discord, which has a horrible UX, but does check that particular box. To me, being able to send messages from my laptop is a non-negotiable requirement, and the phone is my secondary device. In no small part because typing on a touchscreen still sucks ass even though phones of this style have existed for more than 15 years.But okay, let's put that aside. Snapchat messages disappear by default. Which is, like, the number one thing I do not want in a messaging app. I want the exact opposite. I want every conversation I've ever had recorded in perpetuity and be easily searchable.Oh and it also snitches on you if you take a screenshot (you have to use adb screencapture to avoid that).

       Daniel, DDoS is a very rare occurrence. It's a very theoretical risk. You have to upset someone quite seriously to get any. But yeah if you do get any, most hosting providers offer their own DDoS protection.

       Daniel, well, see, it's not "my" government because I didn't elect it. I always voted for someone else. And it's not actions "in" the war, it's the act itself of starting it. But I feel like they mostly attacked me, not you. But I'm used to this, I have a thick skin, someone has to know me fairly well to truly insult me, and even then it's not guaranteed they'll succeed.

       The thing that made Instagram special was its limitations. Each post was one square photo. You could add a filter to it, write a description, and choose a location. That's it. No videos. No carousels. No arbitrary aspect ratios even. No stories, no reels, no DMs. It was considered a "lomography app". Some people around me were calling it "Hipstagram". But as the limitations were removed over time, it became just another social media app, nothing was special about it any more, it became boring.
